A new team member at Rézodanse: Ahmed Helmy is the new administrator and the executive assistant of Lucien Arino. Some questions to learn more about him, that you will be pleased to meet next time you will come to Rezodanse, if it has not already been done!

Why did you choose to work at Rézodanse centre?

I thought it would be a great chance for me to step into a new field: « The Cultural field ». I knew that Rézodanse, other than being a dance school, was also quite strong when it comes to cultural events, especially in Alexandria. I thought it was a great opportunity to start here to discover this new cultural environment.

What exactly is your job at Rézodanse?

I am the administrator and the financial manager, so my main job is focused on this area of work, but my tasks also include helping in communication, production, etc. These days we are working on the development of the organizational structure of Rézodanse, and in the framework of our development and expansion we already took some steps in this regard. First, we installed a new software, Quick-Books, designed to manage payroll, inventory, sales and other needs of a small business, and it was kindly granted to us by « Al-Mawred Al-Thakafy » Foundation. Second, we are nowadays in the process of recruiting an accountant, who will manage the financial issues. We are definitely not going to stop there; there are many steps yet to come, and soon we are also going to develop and implement a whole marketing plan for Rézodanse.

This is the first time that you work in the artistic and cultural field. Does it bring you something else, something different compared to another sector?

Of course, I believe that each field is a new experience. I reckon that stepping into the cultural field, by working at Rézodanse, had a positive impact, especially when it comes to communication, because my work involves interacting with many different people on a daily basis, at the administrative and institutional levels. Of course it also made seriously plan to study French 🙂

You are from Alexandria, what do you think about the establishment of a cultural organisation like Rézodanse in Alexandria, which organizes dance classes but also cultural events with local and foreign artists ?

I believe that Alexandria seriously needed such an institution to initiate a dance scene, and that is why I think that the mission of Rézodanse is not that easy, because the dance scene had no foundation at all in Alexandria. Regarding the cultural events, Alexandria counts already many institutions that hold cultural events and festivals, but I always believe that when it comes to culture there is never enough. Rézodanse has contributed to the development of the cultural scene and enriched it in many different ways.

Du changement à Rézodanse : Ahmed Helmy est, depuis la rentrée 2014, le nouvel administrateur et assistant du directeur, Lucien Arino. Quelques questions pour mieux connaitre ce nouveau membre de l’équipe, que vous aurez le plaisir de rencontrer lors de votre prochaine venue, si ce n’est déjà fait !

 

Pourquoi avoir choisi de travailler à Rézodanse?

Je me suis dit que c’était une belle opportunité pour découvrir le milieu culturel. Je savais que Rézodanse, en plus d’être une école de danse, organisait également des évènements culturels à Alexandrie, c’était donc une belle occasion pour débuter dans ce nouveau domaine pour moi.

En quoi consiste ton travail ?

Je suis en charge de l’administration et des finances, mon travail concerne donc principalement ces tâches, mais j’aide aussi tout ce qui concerne la communication, la production, etc. En ce moment nous travaillons sur la structuration de Rézodanse dans le cadre de son développement que nous souhaitons engager progressivement. Tout d’abord, nous avons installé un nouveau logiciel, Quick-Books, conçu pour gérer l’inventaire, les stocks, les ventes et tout autre besoin pour une petite entreprise, et qui a été gracieusement financé par la fondation « Al-Mawred Al-Thakafy ». De plus, nous sommes actuellement à la recherche d’un nouveau comptable, pour s’occuper des questions financières. Et on ne s’arrêtera pas là ! Il y a encore beaucoup de chemin à parcourir, comme par exemple, mettre en œuvre un plan marketing pour le développement de Rézodanse.

C’est la première fois que tu travailles dans le domaine artistique et culturel. Est-ce que cela t’apporte quelque chose en plus, un petit « plus » par rapport à un autre domaine ?

Je pense bien-sur que chaque domaine apporte une nouvelle expérience. Commencer dans le domaine culturel par travailler à Rézodanse, est très positif pour moi, en particulier ce qui concerne le domaine de la communication, parce que je suis amené à interagir au quotidien avec de nombreuses personnes, tant au niveau administratif qu’institutionnel. Et bien sûr, c’est aussi une bonne opportunité pour apprendre le français 🙂

Tu es alexandrin, que penses-tu de l’existence d’une structure comme Rézodanse à Alexandrie, qui organise des cours de danse mais aussi des évènements culturels avec des artistes égyptiens et étrangers ?

Je pense qu’Alexandrie avait réellement besoin d’une telle institution pour appuyer le milieu de la danse et je pense que la mission de Rézodanse, en ce sens, n’était pas si facile, parce qu’il n’y avait presque aucunes structures à Alexandrie. En ce qui concerne les événements culturels, la ville compte déjà de nombreuses institutions qui organisent des événements culturels et festivals, mais je crois toujours que lorsqu’il s’agit de culture, il n’y en a jamais assez ! Rézodanse contribue au développement de la scène culturelle et l’enrichi à sa manière.

لماذا اخترت العمل بمركز ريزودانس مصر؟

اعتقدت انها ستكون فرصة جيدة للعمل بمجال جديد بالنسبة لي و هو المجال الثقافي.  كنت أعرف أن ريزودانس بخلاف كونها مدرسة للرقص، هي أيضا مؤسسة ثقافية لها ثقل عندما يتعلق الأمر بالفعاليات الثقافية خاصة بالإسكندرية

و ما هي مهامك بريزودانس؟

أنا المسؤول الإداري و المدير المالي بالمركز لذلك يتركز عملي الرئيسي في الجوانب الإدارية ولكن احياناً يشمل ايضاً المهام الخاصة بالمساعدة في التواصل والإنتاج. في هذه الفترة المقبلة سيرتكز عملنا علي تطوير الهيكل التنظيمي للمركز. وفي أطار هذا التطوير اتخذنا بالفعل بعض الخطوات في هذا الصدد فلقد بدأنا بأستخدام برنامج محاسبي جديد و هو ال « Quick-Books » و الذي حصلنا عليه بموجب منحة من مؤسسة المورد الثقافي.  ايضاً في أطار تطوير الهيكل التنظيمي للمركز سنقوم قريباً بتعيين محاسب ليتولي أدارة القضايا المالية للمركز و بالتأكيد لن نتوقف عند هذا الحد فقريباً سنقوم بوضع وتنفيذ خطة تسويقية كاملة للمركز

لقد ذكرت أن هذه هي المرة الأولى التي تعمل في المجال الفني والثقافي. هل تري أنها تجلب لك تجربة جديدة، تجربة مختلفة بالمقارنة مع أي قطاع آخر؟

بالتأكيد فأنا أعتقد أن كل مجال مختلف هو تجربة جديدة بحد ذاتها و بالنسبة لي كوني بدأت بالعمل في المجال الثقافي و خاصة في ريزودانس أثر في كثيراً خاصة في مجال الأتصال و التعامل مع مختلف الشخصيات وذلك لأن عملي ينطوي على التفاعل مع العديد من مختلف الناس على أساس يومي، على الصعيدين الإداري والمؤسسي و بالطبع عملي في ريزودانس شجعني علي التفكير جدياً في دراسة اللغة الفرنسية

أنت من الإسكندرية، ما رأيكم في إنشاء مؤسسة ثقافية مثل ريزودانس في الإسكندرية، والتي ليست تنظم فقط دروس في الرقص ولكن أيضا تنظم فعاليات ثقافية مع الفنانين المحليين والأجانب؟

أعتقد أن الإسكندرية في حاجة إلي مثل هذه المؤسسة للشروع في بناء أساس لثقافة الرقص وهذا سبب يجعلني أعتقد أن مهمة ريزودانس ليست بهذه السهولة لأن مشهد الرقص في المدينة يفتقر للأساس بمعني أنه يقتصر فقط علي فئة الراقصين المحترفين و هذه هي أحد أهداف مركز ريزودانس و هي نشر ثقافة تعلم الرقص للهواة فلا يجب أن تتعلم الرقص فقط لكي تكون راقصاً محترفاً ولكن تعلم الرقصة التي تحبها لتمارسها

هذا من جانب أما من جانب اخر وبخصوص الفعاليات الثقافية التي يقيمها المركز فإن الإسكندرية تعول العديد من المؤسسات التي تعقد فعاليات ثقافية ومهرجانات فنية عديدة  لكنني أعتقد دائما أنه عندما يتعلق الأمر بالثقافة فلا يوجد حد لما يمكن تقديمة للجمهور فلقد تعاونمركز ريزودانسفي المشهد الثقافي في العديد من الفعاليات المختلفة
