An evening dedicated to baladi dance, an intangible Egyptian heritage. Organised by Centre Rézodanse – Egypte, under the artistic direction of Fatiha Bouzidi and Lucien Arino, in the framework of the 2nd Alexandrian Heritage Days.

21st October 2011, from 7pm at Café Baudrot

23 Saad Zaghloul Boulevard, Ramleh Station, Alexandria
– Video screening of “Al Raqs al Baladi: favourite extracts” by Fatiha Bouzidi
– Photography exhibition, from the private collection of Fatiha Bouzidi
– Theatre presentation ‘My life as a dancer’ by Sara El Hawary
– Dance performance by Fatiha Bouzidi, with live music accompaniment by Tawfiq Dawood (accordion), Mohamed Youssef (saxophone, clarinette), Safwat Sourour (tabla) and Samir Hussein (singing)
– The event will be followed by a reception in the garden of Café Baudrot

Auberge des Pyramides

Une soirée consacrée à la danse baladi, patrimoine immatériel égyptien. Organisée par le Centre Rézodanse – Égypte, sous la direction artistique de Fatiha Bouzidi et Lucien Arino, dans le cadre des 2e Journées du Patrimoine d’Alexandrie.

– Projection vidéo de « Al Raqs al Baladi : morceaux choisis » par Fatiha Bouzidi
– Exposition de photographies, extraites de la collection privée de Fatiha Bouzidi
– Présentation théâtrale ‘Ma vie de danseuse’ par Sara El Hawary
– Présentation de danse par Fatiha Bouzidi, accompagnée par Tawfiq Dawood (accordéon), Mohamed Youssef (saxophone, clarinette), Safwat Sourour (tabla), Samir El Husseini (chant)
– La soirée sera suivie d’une réception dans le jardin du Café Baudrot
