The Silsilah Dance Group is a brand new training program launched by Centre Rézodanse and aiming at giving young Alexandrian dancers the opportunity to work with professional choreographers from abroad and to perform various pieces of dance.
The project proposes throughout one academic year a series of artistic residencies beside extensive training and performances.
In 2010 – 2011, the program welcomes 12 young people from Alexandria, all sharing the same passion in dance, and willing to improve their ability in this field and to develop their creativity. The year is organised around three main artistic residencies with two international choreographers (Christoph Winkler, Germany; and Bérengère Valour, France).
The program is supported by the Goethe Institute in Alexandria and by the French Cultural Centre in Alexandria.

Le Silsilah Dance Group est un nouveau programme de formation initié par le Centre Rézodanse et visant à donner à de jeunes danseurs alexandrins la possibilité de travailler avec des chorégraphes étrangers et de se produire sur scène.
Le projet alterne, sur une année scolaire, entre périodes de résidence artistique, périodes de formation extensive, et représentations.
En 2010 – 2011, le programme accueille 12 jeunes alexandrins, partageant tous la même passion pour la danse, et désireux d’améliorer leur technique et de développer leur sens créatif en danse. L’année s’articule autour de trois résidences proposées par deux chorégraphes étrangers (Christoph Winkler, Allemagne; et Bérengère Valour, France).
Le programme est soutenu par l’Institut Goethe à Alexandrie et par le Centre Culturel Français à Alexandrie.
